Barn home plans come in many iterations. Yankee Barn Homes’ Cove Hollow is a perfect example. Built as an in-fill project in the village of East Hampton, NY, it was important for this Yankee Barn home to fit in with its architectural neighborhood. Cove Hollow is the design of YBH Co-Owner and Creative Director, Jeffrey Rosen. With his 30-plus years in the design industry, Jeff was more than up to the task of melding the barn house style with a shingle style home. Read more on Jeffrey.
Post and Beam Living has chronicled Cove Hollow from the first renderings of its’ barn home plans through the completion on this shingle style YBH home. As with a number of current YBH builds, Cove Hollow is a hybrid, meaning it incorporates both post and beam and non-timbered panel construction. Hybrid shell packages are quite popular at YBH as some people want a post and beam frame here, but not there. Cove Hollow is the perfect example of how this looks in a completed home. It’s often thought because barn homes is in our company name, it’s the only style in which we build. Cove Hollow proves nothing could be further from the truth.
Coming in at 3872 sq ft, the floor plan for Cove Hollow combines the elegant ease of the traditional shingle style architecture with a 21st Century build technology. As with all YBH floor plans, this design may be altered in any way you see fit as we are a custom home build company. Like the entrance but need it on the left, not the right? No problem. Love the post and bedroom but not the kitchen? Can Do! Want a scaled down version with fewer bedrooms and baths? Absolutely!
