About Yankee Barn Homes
- We DO NOT use SIP panels – we build our wall and roof panels using traditional framing methods with typical lumber sized for the site conditions.
- Our standard walls are 2×6 construction, uninsulated or pre-insulated w/4″ of polyisocyanurate with the windows pre-installed.
- The roof panels are vented and can be uninstalled or pre-installed with drywall on the interior and an option to add pre-finished wood tongue and groove.
- Both the wall and roof panels have ZIP sheathing on the exterior, ready for siding or roofing.
- Our post and beam frames are pre-cut using premium Douglas Fir, pre-sanded and pre-stained so you don’t have to do that in the field.
- We send a Supervisor with our packages to work with your crew to assemble the shell, or have the option for a full assembly crew. From there you will have a full-framed shell ready for interior framing, mechanicals and finishes. In time, we can work with you to train a member of your team to become a Supervisor for your projects.
