The interior photos of our Yankee Barn Shingle Style home in The Hamptons are here! For the first time, we have shots of the inside of this spectacular house in East Hampton, NY. While not yet completely furnished, it doesn’t matter as the structure has major personality. Actually, I like seeing the house without all the furnishings as it allows me to really “see” features of the home I might otherwise miss. And what a beautiful home it is!
Yankee Barn Shingle Style Interiors
The interior of this house is atypical for a Yankee Barn structure in that one has come to expect a visible post and beam frame in most every room. In this new offering from the Creative Director at Yankee Barn Homes, Jeffrey Rosen, we see the exact opposite. The post and beam is visible in only a few rooms; the kitchen, the master bedroom (and here they are painted white) and in the second living room located on the lower level. Staying closer to the original Shingle Style cottage, Jeff chose not to show exposed timber frame in the formal spaces of the home.
- This kitchen features exposed beams, black honed granite counter-tops and back splash, and gorgeous cabinets from Crown Point Cabinetry. The pendent light fixtures are antique Scandinavian ship lights.
Please note: All photos in this post have been taken by Chris Foster Photographer.
