This barn style home, built by Yankee Barn Homes on Lake Charlevoix, Michigan, is simply stunning. Built with the idea of complimenting it’s surrounding topography, the barn house is both unassuming and eye-catching, all at the same time. On the interior, the homeowners did a wonderful job of blending their love of the Early American style with the eclectic nuances of the Michigan area and the need for thoroughly up-to-date appliances and technology (i.e., radiant heat in all floors). Well Done!
The Barn Homes Exterior
The barn house is perched on a slopping lot which meets the shoreline of Lake Charlevoix. Even though you might not realize it, the lake is actually in view beyond the trees to the far right in any of the exterior front facing photos.
The Barn Homes Interior
The interior of the barn home has an easy and relaxing feel. A nod to the Early American style is present, but not overwhelmingly so. This house is about an eclectic mix of all the things the homeowners love, from a unique choice in custom cabinetry color, to usable furniture, to state of the art appliances. Everything here is for the entire family to use and enjoy.
In closing, if you’ve never been to Lake Charlevoix, you must go. It’s almost a beautiful as the barn home that graces it’s shores!

We loved building this home and had a great experience with the Timber Frame package from Yankee Barn Homes. Hope we get to do another one soon!
