Mission Creek Lodge is the newest reiteration of our original lodge design, Moose Ridge Lodge. While Moose Ridge was designed for and remains a vacation home, Mission Creek Lodge has added in a few features some found missing in Moose Ridge.
Mission Creek Lodge is Moose Ridge 2.0
Coming in at 1914 square feet, Mission Creek is considered a small house. However, if you are familiar with the Moose Ridge Lodge design, you’ll notice right away that Mission Creek has expanded the living space by adding dormers on the second level and keeping the main entrance on the lower level. The window wall has lost the prow-shape of Moose Ridge, thus gaining more living/dining room space. There has been a pantry added to the kitchen and a laundry room on the main level. The cherry on top, is figuratively and literally the sugarhouse that sits atop the house. With access from the second level, it provides the perfect space to catch the 360 degree views surrounding this mountain property home.
While Mission Creek has its main entrance on the lower level, it is possible to place the entrance on the main level. The site for Mission Creek is very tight and dictated the answer for making the design work on this particular lot. Because Yankee Barn Homes is a custom design home build company, our design and Engineering Teams are able to work with each client to get not only the design they want, but make them work within the restrictions every site presents.
This three bedroom, two and one-half bath home has begun construction. We look forward to sharing Mission Creek Lodge progress updates as they become available.
