Yankee Barn Homes recently celebrated turning 50 years old. As one of the oldest and longest running post and beam build companies, it feels great to say we’ve been in the business for a half century. To mark the occasion, Yankee Barn held a Parade of Homes featuring local YBH houses open for touring. We capped off the event with a good old-fashioned house warming at our newest model home, The Springfield Barn.
50 Year Celebration
Attendees went to four local Yankee Barn Homes, each from differing periods of Yankee Barn’s history. The homes dated as far back as 1984 and as recently as 2019. A very special Thank You goes our to our house tour homeowners, Bob & Susan, Larry & Shelia, Peg & Morris and Amy & Paul. Honestly, YBH homeowners are THE BEST!
As the house tours concluded, guests headed to the new YBH model home, the Springfield Barn. Yankee Barn Homes’ owner and CEO, Paul Marinelli, welcomed all and gave a brief talk on the 50 years of Yankee Barn Homes. Jeffrey Rosen, co-owner and Creative Director, spoke on the design and build of the Springfield model. Jon Sevigny, Engineering Manager, had a 50 Year Perspective for those wishing to see the technical design process and progress of the company. Lite fare was provided and an enjoyable afternoon was had. Each guest previewed our new wooden map of the United States (Thank you, Howdy Owl) with pins marking YBH builds. Fun Fact – only 6 states do not have YBH builds. No guest left empty-handed. Gift bags included YBH t-shirts, custom-designed cookies created by local business Pleasant Lake Cheesecake Co, and various Yankee Barn goodies.
Yankee Barn Homes celebrated the best way we know how, as a born and raised New England company offering a quality product and friendly hospitality.
Congratulations, Yankee Barn Homes. Here’s to 50 more years!
