Yankee Barn Homes Road Trip Series
This month, the YBH road trip visits several of our builds in the state of Massachusetts. We have build homes from eastern Massachusetts to the western part of the state and everywhere between.
Welcome to Massachusetts: With its close proximity to our home base of New Hampshire, we’ve build quite a few homes in MA. Let’s have a look.
East to West
Beginning with the outer islands of Massachusetts, we’ll work our way to the coast then west, showing lovely YBH builds along the way.
Barnstable: The Barnstable includes a large amount of glass to take advantage of the views, while also providing an inviting floor plan for family and guests to enjoy.
Beachcomber: This oceanfront home allows two adult family members to live in the same home while maintaining their own personal space. The house has a shared full kitchen.
Waterview Haven: The architecture of Waterview is shingle-style, reminiscent of larger turn-of-the-century cottages. The interior has visible timbers to accentuate the home’s open layout.
Winslow Farmhouse: This build includes a YBH farmhouse, carriage house and seperate studio. The entire compound is totally off-the-grid. Read more about the home in this Boston Globe article.
Lynnfield: This YBH is a partial post and beam home in the contemporary farmhouse style. The wrap-around porch and open concept floor plan are only two of its appealing features.
Walden Pond: Walden Pond is a smaller full post and beam barn home design with a vaulted living room.
