Yankee Barn has received enthusiastic feedback for one of our newest designs, the Wildwood (formerly known as The Morton). The single level partial timber frame home has a lot to offer within its 1819 square foot, three bedroom, two bath floor plan. It’s no wonder the accolades and inquires have poured in. The house is a classic single level design made all the more beautiful with a post and beam vaulted central living space. See more on the layout of The Wildwood
Wildwood Yankee Barn Exterior Variations
Currently being built, the exterior has a decidedly contemporary feel through the use of white vertical wide board siding and black framed windows. This creates a clean, uniform style which works well for the homeowners and their community. However, Yankee Barn Homes often answers the following question about many of our home plans; “Do I have to make the exterior look the same?” The answer “No, absolutely not”. As the owner of a new Yankee Barn, you tell us how you want the home to look and function. We are a custom-build company; you choose the style and we make it happen. Our job is to guide, make suggestions, and lend our expertise as you create your dream home.
You love the Wildwood layout and floor plan, but you are not a fan of the contemporary exterior currently being built. You may be a bit more traditional, or building in an area where shingle siding is appealing and practical (think seaside cottage). Maybe you prefer a farmhouse look or our renderings of the Wildwood in a mountain lodge style. Through the magic of Artlantis and 3-D renderings, Yankee Barn can show you how the Wildwood plan will appear employing the exterior style of your choice. You tell us what you want and we’ll work to make the house look exactly as you envision it.
If there’s a build in your future, it’s never too early to begin gathering photos of homes you like. Yankee Barn creates plans to suit your style, inside and out. The homeowners of the Wildwood came to YBH knowing exactly what they wanted and how they wanted their home to work. They played an integral part in the design. We encourage this as it helps us create the perfect home for you. This is your forever home. Shouldn’t it be everything you dreamed it would be?
Editor’s Note: The Wildwood was formerly called The Morton. The owners kindly requested we name their home Wildwood. We couldn’t be happier to oblige!
