This post and beam farmhouse is going to be a beauty. Originally presented as renderings and floor plans in a previous post, The Proctor is a barn home farmhouse designed to provide that sense of permanence and stability we all need in our home. Nothing does this better than the solid (and beautiful) post and beam frame supporting both walls and roof. Add a few special touches like a farmhouse porch and an indigenous fireplace, and you’re well on your way to building “The American Dream”. Here’s this family’s interpretation of their dream home. We’re proud they chose Yankee Barn Homes to help them see their vision become a reality.
A Post and Beam Farmhouse in the Making
This post is designed to show you The Proctor’s build process thus far. Going up in Dunstable, MA, there have been a few interesting twists and turns regarding this year’s New England winter weather. As these pictures attest, building, like the mail, carries on regardless of the weather!
Architectural Renderings of The Proctor Farmhouse
I’m including the renderings produced by the Architectural Engineering Department of Yankee Barn Homes, so you may understand the homeowners vision.
Floor Plans for The Proctor Farmhouse
As stated on the last rendering, you’ll see the fireplace is now located on an interior great room wall.
