Meet Kerri Post, The New COO of Yankee Barn Homes
Yankee Barn Homes is pleased to announce Kerri Post has been named Chief Operating Officer at Yankee Barn Homes. Kerri has been with Yankee Barn since 2014, originally hired as the Director of Business Development.
2014 to 2022
In 2014, Kerri Post joined Yankee Barn Homes as the Director of Business Development. Shortly thereafter, Kerri also took on the dual title of Director of Project Management. This came about due to Kerri’s education and vast background in the home build industry, affording her the immediate ability to custom design homes for clients. Kerri is a skilled home plan designer and an excellent project manager due to her associate degree in architectural engineering and a finely tuned attention to detail.
During this time, Kerri motivated Yankee Barn Homes to break out of the traditional post and beam barn home mold and move toward designing homes in a more contemporary style. The Bancroft, Mad River Modern, Hill House, Hayfield and Montauk are among Kerri’s designs.
Kerri also brought Yankee Barn into the field of homes designed using little or no timber frame. Kerri did this while maintaining the YBH standard for providing quick on-site assembly and energy efficient panelized homes that met market demand. Market demand at that time included clients who wanted high quality homes during a labor shortage in the construction industry. In the mix were experienced general contractors who liked having a shell pre-assembled. Builders could focus on the finish construction and complete the build that much faster. Having been in the home build industry since 1998, Kerri had a keen awareness of all the moving parts involved in a home’s design and completion. She was able to devise a system that met all the requirements to produce a minimally timbered or non-timbered high-quality home.
2022 to The Present
In the beginning of 2022, having had a successful turn as owner and CEO of Yankee Barn homes, Paul Marinelli decided to retire. However, he was not ready to leave ownership of the company. What to do? This one was easy as he had the ideal candidate for COO already working in the business, and she was good. Very good.
Kerri Post had already proven herself to be skilled in the business and Paul was certain the company would be in good hands if she was the COO at Yankee Barn Homes.
Due to Paul’s mentorship, Kerri’s experience and success in the home build industry made the transition at Yankee Barn Homes seamless.
Congratulations to Kerri Post, Chief Operating Officer at Yankee Barn Homes. Well done!
