Tidepool Cottage is small, and by small I mean 790 square feet small. A full post and beam cottage currently going up in a seaside community in New England, Tidepool is everything one would want in a small second home design.
Cottage Comfort
Tidepool was inspired by our very own Roost cabin*. It takes the basic floor plan of the Roost but leaves off the back room. The vaulted ceiling in the open kitchen/dining/living area creates the illusion of a larger space. A wall of windows on the living room wall allow for natural light to flood the space. Tucked behind the kitchen/stairwell wall is the master bedroom and bath. The second level has a flex space that may be used as a second bedroom, a storage area, or whatever purpose suits the homeowner. Two porches add seasonal living space.
Tidepool Cottage is currently being built. We hope to have more photos of it as it progresses. In the meantime, wouldn’t this be an ideal plan to use as a springboard for your own get-away place? I’m seriously considering this design, myself. I’m seeing all kinds of possibilities with this plan. How about you?
