My husband and I have lived in our Yankee Barn house for six and one-half years. We've gotten to that point where we almost take this wonderful barn house for granted, but not quite. Every now and again I think "Wow, this truly is a special place".
Loon Crossing at Pleasant Lake has been a dream project for Yankee Barn Homes. We attribute our enjoyment to the amazing homeowners, Ron and Leslie. They have not only allowed us to follow and document their build but, welcomed The Boston Globe into their new home for an in-depth interview on their experience. The final result of their build is, in a word, stunning. Every room, nook, and cranny was planned and extensively considered as Leslie and Ron went about designing their perfect vacation home. They wanted everything to be perfect for themselves and their family. We think you’ll find the result inspiring.
Loon Crossing: A Family Affair
Loon Crossing is currently Ron and Leslie’s vacation home but as many of our clients have done, they hope one day to make it their retirement house. It was designed for just this purpose. Everything Ron and Leslie need for day to day living is on the main floor. The upper level has guest quarters and the lower level has been finished with yet another bedroom along with a play/multi-purpose area for friends and family. See floor plans here: LOON CROSSING
It has been a pleasure working with this wonderful family. So much so, we’re headed back in a few short weeks to get a few holiday shots. We can’t wait to see how Leslie has decorated their beautiful post and beam home!
