Buell is one of those homes we all dream of owning. It is a stunning home that came about when homeowners Michael and Gordon amassed a village of talent to make their dream a reality.
Buell is a Prefabricated Yankee Barn Home
Buell is the creation of homeowners Micheal and Gordon. They brought Micheal’s conceptual design to architect James McChesney. While James was creating fully engineered plans, Micheal and Gordon were talking with Yankee barn Homes. The owners had always been intrigued by panelized homes and found Yankee Barn to be a perfect fit for their project.
Once plans were finalized, Micheal and Gordon brought their design to Yankee Barn to be fabricated. Using the best products and technology offered in panelized homes, YBH created the shell for what would become Buell.
The 3,388 square foot home is a U-shape configuration of simple rectangles joined together to create the floor plan. Vaulted ceilings and changes in levels create interest. A suspended staircase and corner walls of glass complete the dramatic architectural effect.
Buell is a true testament to the idea of “it takes a village”. From the homeowners concept, to James McChesney’s architectural skills, to YBH’s quality prefabricated panels, to builder Brendan McGorisk‘s gorgeous work (staircase included), to interior deisgner John Bjornen, a wealth of talent worked on this house and it shows!
