Springfield Barn Home continues to make amazing progress. Currently nearing completion, we are thrilled to reveal the farmhouse style kitchen on Post and Beam Living. It’s been amazing to watch this project go from conceptualization last fall to a reality this spring. Although it may not feel like it to those of us who’ve been with the project from the beginning, this has bee a very fast build.
Springfield Barn Kitchen Reveal
Yankee Barn Homes takes great pleasure in announcing the farmhouse style kitchen has been completed. The kitchen features lighting from Golden Lighting, cabinets from Crown Point Cabinetry, soapstone counter-tops from Shaker Hill Granite, and finishing touches from Marmalade Mercantile. All appliances are made by General Electric.
Springfield Barn Home has been a collaborative effort between Yankee Barn Homes, Cottages and Bungalows magazine and American Farmhouse Style magazine. The joint venture melds the barn, cottage, and farmhouse styles. Because the three styles are extremely popular in today’s eclectic decor climate of Live What You Love, the Springfield kitchen employs touches of each.
Jeffrey Rosen, Creative Director for Yankee Barn Homes has this to say about the design:
“The Springfield Barn Home kitchen is planned as the hub of the house. At the same time, it’s off-center, so that it is not immediately seen when entering the house. This kitchen allows plenty of room for prep, cooking, eating, and most importantly, gathering.
Grocery/supply shopping is always a planned and time-consuming activity, so storage is key. There’s plenty of cabinetry, a walk-in pantry, and an adjacent laundry room to house the supplies of a busy and central kitchen.”
Post and Beam Living will return to the Springfield Barn in the coming weeks to reveal further rooms in this new Yankee Barn Home.
