Plan NOW to Build in Spring or Summer of 2019

Build in spring is not new or novel advice in the home construction business. I’m quite certain the idea pre-dates the home build business. It stands to reason that better weather translates to a better time to build. What most articles do not tell you is this: in order to build in the optimal months, you need to plan your build the previous fall or winter.

Plan Now to Build in Spring

Yankee Barn Homes has been in the home construction business for 49-plus years. We’ve seen it all when it comes to building.  We build year-round, but spring and summer are always busier. Which is another reason to plan now to build in spring. It will take you some time to conceive and plan your home. YBH is a custom build company. Even if you pretty much know what you want in a home, we spend as much time as you need to plan every detail of your build. The planning stage takes as long as the individual client requires. The shortest plan times are determined in months, not weeks.  There are variables beyond our control, i.e., permits and contractor availability. The build process takes time.

Yankee Barn Homes works in home construction every day. We are often reminded that most of you do not. People call us believing we can build a turn-key house inside of 2-3 months. This is the biggest misconception about prefabricated homes. Yes, it IS a much faster build time. No, it does not mean the home can be planned, permitted, and completed inside of two months. We are not a modular company, we do not have set home designs. Each one of our homes is a custom design. Each YBH home is brought to life through the creativity of our clients and our staff.

The best recommendation Yankee Barn Homes offers is to plan early!
