On your initial call or visit to Yankee Barn Homes, you will no doubt have many questions. Perfect. This is our introduction to you and the more questions you have, the more we learn about what you want in a home. It is important we do so as early on in the process as possible. We are about to embark on a very creative and personal journey with you, designing and building your completely customized home.
Identifying Your Wants and Needs
As you progress to the design phase, we will want to know the rooms that are most important to you. We love to see photos of your favorite spaces as this shows us what you like and how you will use your new home. We want your new home to be everything you dreamed it would be – and more.
Rooms with the Highest Emotional Attachment
With 49 years building custom homes under our belt, the YBH Design Team has discovered a few things about the importance of specific rooms. We ask people what rooms are most important to them and which rooms are their favorites. We’ve found the rooms listed in these two categories often overlap. We’ve also discovered a room’s ability to evoke a high level of importance and positive emotion is directly related to the design of that room. We use these rooms as “hot zones” in your floor plan and create custom designs around them. What evolves from this process is a custom, and highly personalized, home.
