Two very different Yankee Barn post and beam projects are now completed and soon to be photographed. We thought now would be a good time to give you a sneak peek and hopefully wet your whistle.
The Mad River design is inspired by Mid-Century Modern architecture and The Southold is a classic barn style home. And while these two post and beam projects are completely different in style, they are built with the same high-quality components Yankee Barn Homes is known for producing.
We decided to present these two builds side by side to showcase the disparate styles YBH can and does produce. While “barn” is in our name and blood, we also design in a wide range of home styles; the Mad River is an excellent example. Yankee Barn Homes is a custom build company. As a client, you’ll have the option of choosing a design we have or, with the help of our top-notch design team, creating one uniquely you’re own.
Post and Beam Projects
Mad River Modern: At 2577 sq ft of living space the 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath contemporary design is intended for a sloped lot (built in a ski area community) but would work equally well on a flat lot. See more on this design: Mad River
Southold Barn House: At 3845 square feet, The Southold is a moderately large 4 bedroom, 4 1/2 bath home, with a fantastic open floor plan that also includes nicely sectioned-off private bedroom areas. A large double-sided fireplace (open to the great room and dining room) and oversize sliding barn doors between the dining and kitchen areas, are also exciting features in this home. We love the catwalk on the second level (called a Bridge on the floor plans). See more on this design: Southold Barn House
Both photo shoots are expected to take place soon. We’ll keep you updated and will present the photos here as soon as we get them!
