Barn home windows; what looks architecturally pleasing and works best in your new Yankee Barn post and beam home? The truth is, it depends on the style of home you build and your personal taste. That being said, here is my no-fail suggestion for windows in your new home: look to the many barns in and around the countryside for inspiration.
Here’s something you don’t see every day. An octagonal cupola with double hung windows. Unique and attractive!
Now-a-days, window manufactures can make just about any window you can imagine, so starting looking, get photos of windows you love, and incorporate them into your plans. The unique quality the windows give your home will never grow old!
Another combination that never fails; black or gray steel casement windows combined with wood and brick. Gorgeous, every single time.
Barn Home Windows Inspiration
Here are a few pretty windows, from barns and barn houses, to get your creative juices flowing and imaginations whirring. The sky’s the limit!

This is a completely stunning look, but you need to know it is not an inexpensive look. The amount of steel needed for structural support is costly, however there is a very high “Wow” factor.
I call this one “Windows On the World”. The combination of full dormer walls of windows with authentic square barn windows is perfect.
