From Workshop to Home: The Yankee Barn Homes Difference
Rock Meadow is a clear reflection of the Yankee Barn Homes approach to building—combining speed, precision, and long-term performance without sacrificing customization or craftsmanship.
Built using a custom Yankee Barn Homes shell package, the home was fabricated in our New Hampshire controlled workshop environment. This process allows for greater quality control, improved energy efficiency, and a faster overall build timeline compared to traditional on-site framing. Panelized walls, roof components, and the post-and-beam structure are carefully crafted off-site, then delivered and assembled efficiently once the foundation is ready.

Every space in Rock Meadow was designed with intention. At the heart of the home is a soaring Great Room featuring exposed Douglas Fir post-and-beam framing, a floor-to-ceiling fireplace, and a catwalk overlooking the bar and main living area. Natural light pours in through the signature “sugar house” cupola, enhancing the sense of openness and highlighting the craftsmanship throughout.

Rock Meadow also embraces flexibility and longevity. The home features both first- and second-floor primary suites with generous sitting areas, additional ensuite bedrooms, and a private living space above the three-car garage complete with a bedroom, bath, kitchenette, and living room. These elements allow the home to evolve with family needs and support extended stays with ease.
That same sense of thoughtful design carries into the home’s gathering spaces. The first-floor kitchen is designed for entertaining, featuring a double-island layout with ample space for a large dining table and easy access to the outdoor grill. The adjacent great room includes a spacious wet bar and bar seating, creating a natural hub for gathering. A glass-panel staircase adds a modern architectural touch while maintaining visual connection between levels. Downstairs, the basement is equally suited for hosting, with a full walk-in wine cellar and an additional wet bar for elevated entertaining.
Designed in partnership with interior designer and homeowner Christina Lake and Wadsworth Design Build, the interiors balance light, texture, and warmth, making the home feel both elevated and effortless. Thoughtful details throughout ensure the spaces are as livable as they are visually striking.
