Contemporary YBH Annandale
Contemporary YBH Annandale is finished. Wow! This 7,482 square foot home is a stunner (and then some).
One of the largest homes built by Yankee Barn Homes to date, it was designed by the architectural firm, Auver, located in New York, NY.
Kerri Post, now Chief Operating Officer at Yankee Barn Homes, was the project manager/liaison in charge of this build project. Engineering this house was a major challenge due to the over size accordion and pocketing full glass doors. The finished product proves Yankee Barn was up to the task.
Hudson Valley Beauty
Now completed, the barn style contemporary overlooks New York’s Hudson Valley. The home is surrounded by uncomplicated landscaping; a perfect compliment to the architecture.
The home is both profound and reserved in its setting. One can’t help but be pulled in by both it’s quiet presence and it’s beautifully appointed decor. Everywhere you look there is elegance in moderation. One example is the attention to detail of the living room staircase. Clean lines accentuate the unique design to make it a focal point of the room.
The windows stand sentry over the home, creating an architectural element that extends the length of the house. Simple, yet completely breath taking.
The Annandale Floor Plan
The use of three basic rectangle “barns” create the home and attached garage. The primary bedroom suite is one structure, separated from the main house via the glass foyer. The largest of the three rectangles is the main house consisting of an open concept great room, dining room/kitchen and family room. The large central fireplace, with a designer pizza oven on the dining/kitchen side, is the only interior wall. The third rectangle houses a three car garage with a connecting mudroom and half bath.
The second level is accessed by the great room staircase and is comprised of three bedrooms, a large full bath and a mezzanine.
