North Point Reveal Is On The Way
Yankee Barn Homes is excited to announce we will be photographing North Point by summer’s end. The home is a downsized version of our Granite Ridge design (link at the bottom of this article).
North Point is a two bedroom, two bath, single level floor plan with attached garage. It’s a perfect layout for those wishing to downsize or those with a small family. Using 1,930 square feet of living space (not including the lower level) the house is designed with a vaulted entry and great room while the remainder of the plan uses nine foot high ceilings. The attached garage adds 720 square feet.

The Appeal Of Single Level Living
It is not easy to overstate the appeal of a single level home. First, does this mean there isn’t a lower level? While you can build any of our designs on a slab, 99% of our clients place their homes on a full basement. The basement is particularly integral to a single level as it often provides more living and storage space.
Does a single level home need to be sprawling in order to accommodate the need for more space? Simply put, no. All you need do is look at the floor plan for North Point to know that careful design has resulted in accommodating the need for space, particularly storage. The home includes a pantry/mudroom and a large walk-in closet in the primary bedroom. Not to mention a good layout in the kitchen to afford plenty of cabinetry storage space. The pantry takes good planning to near perfection.
The attached garage is the cherry on top. Not only does the connector create the space for a pantry and mudroom (more storage), it also affords a back entry into the home directly from the garage. No outdoor elements to deal with when coming and going to and from the house.
Keep An Eye Out For New Photography
We intend to photograph North Point (located on the shores of a Great Lake) by summer’s end. We are beyond excited about this shoot, not only because of it’s great design, but also for where it’s located. The vaulted ceiling great room has an unobstructed view of the lake. Can. Not. WAIT!
