One of the best features of building a post and beam barn homes space is the potential for a loft to exist somewhere within your floor plan. Over the years, Yankee Barn has seen a variety of lofts in all shapes and sizes. I’ve come to consider them “multipurpose rooms” as they may be used in just about any way you see fit. A library, crafts space, study, media room, reading nook, play room, exercise area or guest room are but a few of the arrangements we’ve seen created in a YBH loft.

When thinking of a loft, one most likely envisions open railings and a view to lower rooms. While this is often true, it is not always the case as some lofts have enclosed or three-quarter walls. A loft is one of those areas that can appear and function however you choose.
