The Yankee Barn Homes Difference
With over 50 years of experience, panelized construction at Yankee Barn Homes has evolved to a point where our craftsmanship rivals that of traditional homes. We use a combination of structural Doug fir and traditional dimensional framing allowing us the flexibility to design homes with full, partial, minimal structural or no post and beam frame.
Our clients can build almost any style and configuration imaginable. The panel method reduces time and expenses by streamlining the process with the help of modern assembly practices. Our factory construction with specialized experts is more efficient than completing the entire project on-site. However, a misconception with all panelized homes is that they come 100% finished. The primary savings with custom panel home construction is in the speed of onsite construction and energy efficiency over the life of the home.
We are ready to assist you in building your Yankee Barn Home.

Craftsmanship & History
We have been in business for over 50 years. The barn home was our founder, Emil Hanslin’s original design concept featuring the Mark I. Today, Yankee Barn Homes designs and builds in any architectural style, barn home to farmhouse, cottage to mountain lodge.

Post & Beam Construction
The post-and-beam half-lap joinery system we use is over 1,000 years old and is known for great strength and ease of fabrication and assembly. In contrast to traditional building methods, the versatile panel construction allows open volumes of space and infinite room configurations.

Custom Design
Our design fee is credited to your shell package. No two Yankee Barn homes are exactly alike, as each starts with the vision of the homeowner. While many clients come to us for the beautiful post and beam look, Yankee Barn Homes offers hybrid options as well as no post and beam at all.

Energy Efficiency
Our True Wall and True Roof™ Panels are some of the best in the industry; a technological advancement on the SIP design. They allow our clients to build with confidence, knowing their Yankee Barn home will be more cost-effective to maintain, energy-efficient and sustainable.
Where we Have Built
We have built all across the United States and Internationally. Because of our panelized construction methods, we can ship the homes built in our New Hampshire factory just about anywhere including coastline, remote, and mountain areas.
