Small Barn Home Plans
For those familiar with Yankee Barn Homes, you know we build in a variety of home styles. However, you probably also realize we are known for our barn house style. The barn house was our first home style, named the Mark I, and we have expanded and improved on it over the past 50-plus years.
Small Does Not Mean Cramped
Yankee Barn Homes builds many homes under 2,000 square feet. In the home building dialect, anything under two thousand square feet is considered a smaller build. In no world does this translate to cramped. Our small homes are anything but. Due to our True Panel System and the fact that most clients choose to build using a partial post and beam frame, the potential exists for open space. Whether that space comes in the shape of vaulted ceilings or rooms without walls, a YBH build will feel spacious without wasting space. This is important because economy of space and cost are now equally important to many of us. The same is true for efficiency of design. Yankee Barn Homes offers all three in each custom design home we build.
Traditional and Not-So-Traditional Barn Homes
