Small Post and Beam Cabin Makes Big Statement
Small post and beam cabin, Perch Pond, is speaking in ALL CAPS and the message is clear, “I’m your dream come true.” Imagine a small timber frame home in the mountains, within a stone’s throw of a pond. Add to that a gorgeous post and beam frame and a meticulously designed floor plan. Oh… and there’s a fireplace, a loft, and a great front porch. Have I mentioned the mountain views?
The homeowners are thrilled with their new home, as are we. They have graciously sent us progress shots as the build moves forward. Both of them are excited about the house, but one of them might be extremely excited about the garage. More on that coming soon. Now at the point where dreams become reality, the owners are are enjoying sharing their experience with us. We are loving it!
Interior and Exterior Work Moving Quickly
It may seem like an oxymoron to say a build project ever moves quickly, but this one truly is. I’m sure it doesn’t feel fast to the owners because it never does. Who could blame them? I’d be anxious to get into this perfect small cabin, too!
Perch Pond is 1,276 square feet with 1 bedroom and 1.5 baths. There is room for expansion because you can do what these owners did and put in a full lower level. Additionally, the upper loft affords further space for overnight guests.
The home is in it’s final phase of finish build. Perch Pond is on track for these homeowners to be enjoying small cabin life in front a the fireplace in time for the holidays. Phew!
This has been a great project to follow because the owners have been terrific about sending us updates and photos. We’re hoping the cherry on top will be a photoshoot once the cabin is completed!
