Architect Designed Yankee Barn Home
From time to time Yankee Barn Homes steps outside our in-house design team and works with architects. Northwest Harbor is one such home. Renown architect, Christian Ricci, is the creative mind behind our Northwest Harbor build.
Located in the Hamptons, Northwest Harbor marries the barn style home with the Shingle Styles homes that dot the northeast coastline. The result is a creative blend of styles that works seamlessly, inside and out.
Northwest Harbor Interior
The interior of Northwest Harbor centers around a large barn-style “gathering room”. It houses the main living room and dining room, opening to the kitchen on one end and a commanding fireplace wall on the other. Along the entire back side of the room are three sets of French doors that open onto a large deck.
The primary bedroom suite includes a sun room, bathroom, walk-in closet and storage for linens. Bedrooms two through five are on the second level with 3 full baths.
The spacious kitchen abuts a family room on one side and a good size storage closet and laundry room on the other. The laundry room also allows passage to the two-car attached garage.
Stunning Exteriors
As previously mentioned, the exterior of Northwest Harbor creates a blend of a Single Style coastal home with that of a barn house. The combination of cedar shakes and vertical barn board are the perfect compliment to one another, tied neatly together with bright white trim. Our compliments to Christian Ricci Architecture. We could not have done it better!
