Blue Ridge Farmhouse is a sweet new design from Yankee barn Homes. Sweet in both sense of the word. The farmhouse is a basic rectangle (good for energy conservation and efficiency) and sweet in that it has a great floor plan. As the name implies, it happens to look out over the Blue Ridge Mountains. Now, that’s what we call SWEET!
Farmhouse Fantasy
The house takes a rectangle footprint and makes the most of the basic shape by adding a wrap-around porch and a bump-out entrance. The house plan also features a two-car garage in the foundation of the home.
The interior is charming. Upon entering the front door, the kitchen, dining and living room space are without walls, tied together by the post and beam frame while defined by furniture. The half-bath, washer and dryer closet and master bedroom entrance are to the right. The master bedroom suite is a work of art. A completely private master bath is accessed via a walk-in closet utilizing pocket doors.
The second floor provides more useable open space with a family room/sitting area (with required TV), an office, a project space and exercise/crafts nook. Two good size bedrooms and two bathrooms complete the second level design.
Blue Ridge is expected to go up late winter. We will anxiously await updates and construction photos as spring approaches. As always, we’ll keep you updated.
