Yankee Barn Homes is a unique home design-build company. There are no predetermined floor plans when you build with us. While we do show house plans past clients have built, and there are times when a plan completely suites a new client, more often clients end up creating a new design unique to them and their lifestyle.
Creation of a New Design
A typical client has one or two of our house plans in mind when they come to us, but often request design changes. Yankee Barn Homes is a custom design company; therefore, the creation of a new design is encouraged. We have a highly skilled Design Team available, specifically for this purpose.
Such was the case with a recently built YBH, The Barnstable. The owner came to us loving our Oyster Shores plan but wanted a New England dairy barn feel imbued in his home. As he progressed through design, the YBH Design Team was able to take his ideas and turn them into plans he could experience prior to building. The result was the Barnstable, a new floor plan with an exterior facade that fit his taste as well as the geographic location of the home. The house is a unique reflection of him. In turn, the Barnstable is now inspiring more new builds. We call it One Yankee Barn Leads to Another.
