The Spruceton post and beam is the second of three new designs Yankee Barn is currently building based on our Hartford plan. You might recall seeing the first, The Norwich, in a previous post (see link below). While The Norwich is a generous expansion of The Hartford, The Spruceton is a modest enlargement, coming in at 1492 square feet. Because Yankee Barn Homes is a custom design/build company, there are no requirements to build an existing plan. Many times, a current plan is altered to suit individual needs. This is the case with The Spruceton.
Post and Beam Versatility
Like the original Hartford plan, the Spruceton is intended as a second home, however, it would work equally well as a primary residence for a small family or single person/couple wishing to downsize. The floor plan allows the open, timbered spaces to convey a sense of spaciousness while allowing natural light to fill the rooms. With three bedrooms and two full baths, including a separate area for the master with private bath, The Spruceton design is the very definition of versatility. The fact that it’s architecture speaks the language of Barn House is the icing on the cake!
Small barn home plans are extremely popular and no one does them better than Yankee Barn Homes. Whether you’re building a 1000 square foot home or 6000 square foot home, the same commitment to time, focus on design and high quality goes into every plan. Our building process is the same, no matter the square footage of your post and beam build. See more on Designing with Yankee Barn Homes.
