When we last saw this post and beam farmhouse being built in Dunstable, MA, the home moved out of the drafting software stage and was becoming a reality. New England winter storms were raging, but building was occurring. Now we have photos of progress over the past month. It’s really quite amazing, both inside and out. Take a look!
Post and Beam Farmhouse Exterior
In these photos you’ll see the siding is installed, the fireplace chimney becomes enclosed, and the metal roof goes on. Well done!
Post and Beam Farmhouse Interior
In the meantime, the interior of the home is not standing still. The home is being prepped for fireplaces, walls, and now has a real set of stairs (hauling tools up and down those ladders get tiring after a while).

Open two-level spaces will be located at the top of the stairs, allowing light to stream throughout the house.
Be sure to check back soon as we follow this Yankee Barn Homes farmhouse, The Proctor, through to completion.
