I’m admittedly a fan of all things French so it won’t come as much of a surprise that the post & beam home featured here is one of my personal favorites. It’s actually two post & beam structures built at different times as the family and their home grew. No matter, the look of relaxed elegance that typifies “French Provincial” is found in every room of this home. From the colors and textures, to the wood finishes and period pieces, this home oozes Oo-la-la!!!
Once inside your eye immediately travels to the tell-tale signs of French Provincial: the whitewashed walls, the unfinished antique posts & beams and the striking splashes of vibrantly rich colors that draw you in.
Every corner of this home carries the rustic yet refined elegance of French color and texture.

Standing in the kitchen and dining areas you’d swear you were in the south of France!

The feast for the eyes does not end on the first floor; the upstairs bedrooms are a sight to behold.

Even the outdoor porch gets in on the act.

Now maybe you understand why this is absolutely one of my favorite homes in the French Provincial style!!
C’est la maison parfait! J’adore toutes les choses francaises aussi…
I really like this. Shabby Chic is definitely a type of
Feng Shui, giving a peaceful, soft and feminine feel. A very beautiful way of decorating making people want to come
in and relax, this is why it can also be known as the cottage feel.
